Titanium Assembly adhesive Power Bond white. 290 ml

Brand: Titan
Type of glue: Liquid nails

The product does not contain isocyanates, solvents, heavy metal salts, and does not foam during curing. The adhesive does not contain components that cause corrosion of non-ferrous and ferrous metals, as well as galvanized and sensitive metals (amalgam, copper, zinc). Tytan Power Bond does not stain mineral surfaces. After curing, the glue forms an elastic, but at the same time durable and impact-resistant seam, which reduces vibrations of products and mechanisms to zero and eliminates premature destruction of the structures being glued together and the seam itself. One of the characteristics of the new product is a fast and strong initial setting with high adhesion to dissimilar materials. After complete curing, the adhesive can be painted and varnished. The glue allows you to easily and reliably install heavy and light elements and structures. Chemical resistance, as well as weather resistance and hermetic properties, allow the product to be used in any climatic zones. Tytan Power Bond is applicable in both industry and construction. Hybrid adhesive is used when installing parquet boards and laminates on monolithic bases, for gluing massive, sheet and decorative materials made of metal, wood, chipboard, OSB, DSP, plywood, cork, in the manufacture of stairs, when installing steps, thresholds, windows and doors, mirrors and products made of sensitive metals (copper, zinc, etc.).

Glass glue transparent

Nowadays, glass is taking up more and more space in modern homes. Furniture, doors, shower stalls, and so on are made from it. Undoubtedly, glass furniture is original and beautiful, and glass door allows a lot of light to pass through, but sometimes you have to face difficulties due to the fragility of this material.

Glass, like other materials, can be glued together. Nowadays there is a wide range of adhesives on the market, but you should know that not all adhesives are suitable for aesthetic and high-quality gluing of glass. The best option is a transparent glass adhesive with strong and quick fixation. These adhesives are divided into UV adhesives, which require additional activators, and cyanoacrylate (instant) adhesives, which work without activators. In turn, cyanoacrylate adhesives are divided into transparent, almost unchanged in color after polymerization, and colored (usually black) of increased strength or elastic.

The main problem when gluing glass is the visibility of the glue and the appearance of a powdery white residue at the gluing site. Even glass glue transparent may have a bloom effect, which appears on the base material in the form of a white powdery sediment.

As for UV adhesives, most of them are transparent. The exceptions are adhesives that, after curing, acquire a matte tint and adhesives with dual curing anaerobic plus UV polymerization.

UV adhesives are divided into adhesives for glass and adhesives for transparent plastics. However, some UV adhesives designed for gluing transparent plastics can also be successfully glued to glass.

To cure (polymerize) UV glue used on glass, a UV lamp with a power of at least four mW/cm and an emitter wavelength of 365 - 400 nm is required. Adhesives that require a wider range of UV wavelengths are designed to work with transparent plastic, but they also give a lasting effect when gluing glass.

For gluing glass with a minimum gap, transparent glass glue of medium viscosity, the refractive index of which is equal to the refractive index of glass, is perfect. Gel-like adhesive is also effective for such purposes, capable of filling gaps up to 2.5 millimeters.

It is difficult to determine the effectiveness of any glue, because in each individual case a certain glue is needed. If you need a transparent connection without careful adjustment of the parts and the absence of a UV lamp, the ideal solution would be transparent cyanoacrylate glass glue; when gluing large surfaces or the need for special precision, it is better to use UV glue.

Our company offers you high-quality glass adhesive in small, medium and large wholesale.

Modern furniture is made from a variety of materials, including glass. The beauty and originality of glass furniture is undeniable, but its owners may encounter difficulties caused by the fragility of this material. Like any other material, glass is subject to repair - gluing. The adhesive market today is represented by a very wide range. However, it must be remembered that not everyone is suitable for high-quality and aesthetic gluing of glass.

To glue glass, you need transparent, odorless adhesives with quick and strong fixation, such as Permabond.

All Permabond adhesives can be divided into two groups: instant (cyanoacrylate) adhesives that do not require additional activators, and UV adhesives that work only with an activator.

Among cyanoacrylate, in turn, there are so-called colored (mainly elastic adhesives or high-strength adhesives, usually black) and transparent (adhesives that are slightly susceptible to color change after polymerization).

When gluing glass, the main problem is the visibility of the glue itself and the appearance of a white powdery sediment on its border.

It must be remembered that even transparent instant glue can have a bloom effect, which manifests itself in the form of a white powdery sediment on the base material.

The bloom effect looks like this:

Permabond adhesives come in a variety of viscosities.

Since I sometimes (very little) do handicrafts. then at some point I needed glue. Yes, not simple (I already had PVA at that time), but so that once and for all, and even so that it does not leave marks, and does not smell, and does not shine, and for 10 rubles. Having read the advice of kind people and believing in the power of the Moment (wow, what a smell it had during my childhood!), I went in search of the treasured tube. It turned out that they produce it in two volumes - 30 ml and 125 ml (plus they come in blisters, show boxes and just like that). I took a small volume, since I am mainly interested in miniature works.

Having read the clever words that are written on the back of the tube and learned that you need to apply glue, then wait 5-10 minutes and firmly press the surfaces to be glued together, I instantly forgot about it and began to use the glue as usual - applied, pressed, released

I can say that it glues perfectly anyway - you just can’t tear it off) You can glue everything with it (it’s not suitable for food utensils). He glues bows just fine

In general, he satisfied my requests. But then the husband appeared on the stage and demanded the treasured tube for some of his manly fun. True, he glued it strictly according to the instructions. And it seemed to me that it glued worse (but I can’t vouch for it; perhaps the problem was in the surface), because I had to glue it a second time - but the second time the glue did an excellent job.

So, the pros: the glue is transparent, even if you overdo it a little, it will not be visible; it does not turn yellow over time (how old are I, really?); the consumption is small, you can glue a large part onto a tiny drop; The glue is affordable - you can buy it at any hardware store or even supermarket for relatively little money.

But even without cons it didn’t work out: his nose is not perfect, it’s too wide, it’s very easy to squeeze out more than necessary and get everything around dirty; hence another minus - it is not removable. does not rub off and generally seems to last forever; the tube is prone to spontaneous eruption of glue when heated by hands; it still smells, although not strongly; the price could have been lower.

Glass adhesives are suspensions of chemicals that have excellent adhesion to the glass sheet. They can be used for gluing parts of mirrors, plexiglass, and ordinary glass of different thicknesses. The gluing process itself is a fairly easy procedure, but it requires care, attention, and accuracy. Special equipment is not required to glue glass surfaces - simple transparent glass glue (you can use a different color, depending on the application of the finished structure), paste, and a tool for cleaning and polishing glass.

Application area of transparent glass adhesive.

The glue can be used for gluing glass items, vases, and crystal objects, both to each other and to metal. Also used for gluing car glass, for aquarium glass (waterproof)

Specifications of a Typical Glass Adhesive

  • the density of the suspension does not exceed 1.1 g/ml;
  • glue viscosity in the range (2300-3800) x1000 pascal at a temperature of +25C;
  • operating temperature after hardening: from -60 to +120C;
  • curing time: 12 hours with a change of 8-12%/hour;
  • the glue must have minimum refraction ŋ20D: 1.48-1.5;
  • minimal thermal conductivity and current conductivity;

Mirror glue has slightly different parameters than glass glue and should:

  • be moisture resistant (for bathroom mirrors);
  • do not damage the amalgam substrate of the mirror;
  • have a gripping force of at least 50 kg/1 sq.m.;
  • be flexible and not have a layered structure;

The process of gluing blanks with glass glue

To achieve maximum results from gluing surfaces, you need to follow the given algorithm of actions:

  • Before you apply glass glue to the surface of the material, you need to thoroughly polish the surface of your workpieces. This is best done with paste or very fine sandpaper. In some products (where the seam is hidden), you can even use an emery wheel;
  • At the second stage of glass gluing, the material of the blanks is joined at the end sides and fixed in the desired position. The material for the design of fastening the workpieces can be invented at the discretion of the user. The only criterion is absolute fixation of the material;
  • Now it's time for the gluing material. Plexiglas adhesive is a suspension of alkalis and undiluted acids. The specificity of this glue is the transition of the material into a viscous state after applying the mixture to plexiglass. Depending on the consistency of the substances in the glue, it dries from 1 minute to an hour. After the material has completely hardened, it is ready for use and acquires all the necessary physical and mechanical properties, including resistance to water.
  • Excess glue from the glass is wiped off with a cloth soaked in white spirit 5-10 minutes after application.

If you are still in doubt about what kind of glue to glue glass with, then you need to take into account the variety of gluing methods, as well as the subsequent areas of use of the blanks. Depending on the presence of acidic elements and toxins in the suspension, its suitability for use as a gluing material for aquariums is determined (glass glue with a high alkali content and low density is unacceptable for gluing aquarium glass).

Liquid glue is used for gluing workpieces, where it is necessary to minimize the thickness of the layer, as well as hide the visible seam for an aesthetic appearance of the future structure, while thick glue is used to increase strength.

Precautionary measures

Glass glue is highly toxic and can cause irritation to the skin and respiratory system, so it is recommended to use respirators and protective clothing. If glue gets on your skin or eyes, immediately wash off the suspension with plenty of water and, if necessary, consult a doctor. Keep away from children!
