After all, flying there in the summer is much more profitable - it’s not the season in Australia, and the coveted tickets are greatly reduced in price.
True, I only found out that there are no direct flights from us to the homeland of teddy koala bears when I decided to book tickets. But during the transfer I was able to make a stop in Paris. There was enough time between flights to stroll a little through the streets of this dream city.
But winter is a relative concept. There will be no usual snowdrifts here. During the two weeks of my stay there, the temperature only once crawled to zero degrees (the rest of the time it was about +15). The people around have noticeably warmed up - there were even a couple of people in down jackets and warm knitted hats on the street :) Probably, if these guys had gone to Russia in January, without a portable house, like a turtle, they wouldn’t have stuck their noses out into the street.
But you can still see snow if you spend a couple of hours traveling from Sydney to the Blue Mountains. Just a little bit, upstairs. In fact, it’s a stretch to call them mountains at all – they look more like the slopes of a hefty ravine, at the bottom of which you somehow miraculously managed to find yourself.
But what’s more important is that kangaroos live there! And it smells very tasty of eucalyptus. And for this you can go to the mountains, to a ravine, or to the other end of the earth.
